There are many reasons why people seek therapy or mental health counseling. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief/loss issues, life stage changes, etc, then you are not alone. At first, making the decision to meet with a therapist to share your deepest vulnerabilities can be overwhelming. This is why the therapeutic rapport and relationship between therapist and client is most important and that you feel safety and comfort in the process. Therapy is an opportunity to challenge themes and patterns that are sabotaging your well-being and leading to lack of fulfillment. This is a reminder that you are in control of your destiny and that it’s okay to ask for help and get support when you need it.
